VFW Post 5978 invites everyone in our community to come together as we honor the victims, first responders, and service members whose courage continues to inspire us. All are welcome to attend and take part in this moment of unity and remembrance.

Suicide Awareness for Veterans and Our Community At VFW Post 5978, we believe no one should face their struggles alone. Many veterans and community members carry invisible burdens, and reaching out can make a real difference. A simple conversation, a moment of listening, or a reminder that someone cares can be life‑changing. If you or someone you know is struggling, please talk to someone you trust. Support is available, and you are not alone

Your courage and sacrifice have made a difference in preserving and defending world peace.

VFW Post 5978 is growing, and we’re looking for dedicated individuals to join our team. If you’re passionate about serving our community and supporting local veterans, we’d love to hear from you.

We are currently seeking applicants for the following positions:

  • Security Guards

  • Manager

  • Bartender

Welcome to the Veterans of Foreign Wars Lounge at Berrien County VFW Post 5978.

We proudly welcome veterans, families, friends, and the local community to enjoy a friendly, laid-back atmosphere where you can unwind after work, relax with friends, and grab a cold drink. Whether you're stopping in after work or just looking for a place to relax, our lounge is open and ready for you.

Open to the Public
Everyone is welcome during regular lounge hours unless otherwise noted for private events or special functions.

Monday – Saturday: 3:30 PM – 9:00 PM
